How to get there

Useful information to get to Rennes:

By train: a TGV (high-speed train) connects Paris directly to Rennes in approximately an hour and a half. Departure from Montparnasse (Paris) to Gare centrale (Rennes), close to shops, hotels, and means of transportation.

By plane: Rennes has an airport 10 minutes drive away from the city center. It’s available by bus (see information below).

From the city and the SNCF train station:

Subway Line A: Villejean-Université stop. Walk along the campus and down Gaston Berger avenue.

Bus : Line C4: Villejean-Université stop.

From the Rennes Bretagne airport:

Ticket vending machines are available at the airport.

Take bus Line C6, direction Cession-Sévigné, bus stop in front of the airport and get off at the République stop (about 30 minutes), which will then allow you to take the subway (see information above).

Buses circulate all week, on weekends and on holidays and bank holidays.

[Subway Line B - Out of service]
Due to a technical incident, line B is currently out of service. It will not run from Monday 8 January and the duration of the stoppage remains undetermined.
